For Axel & the owner · Lagoon 400 S2 "Secret of Life"

Let's give Secret of Life a new, off-grid chapter — and make her timeless.

Our intention is to turn her into a fully-equipped, blue-water liveaboard and content base. This is how we'd love to take her on, and a clean, fast handover that's good for everyone.

The right hands

We'll cherish her — and we're ready.

❤️

We love this boat

We've fallen for her and we're ready to move. We're the kind of buyer you want across the table — straightforward, decisive, and in it for the long run.

Settled by bank transfer

Funded in full by KGC Media via bank transfer — no financing, no chain, nothing that can fall through.

A clean EU trade deal

A VAT-registered Cyprus company buying from a Croatian company — a simple, clean intra-EU transaction.

A keeper

She becomes our floating office and content hub — we want her right, and we want her for years, so we'll invest properly in her future.

Our vision for her

From a great charter boat to a forever liveaboard.

Secret of Life has served beautifully. We want to give her a second life — fully self-sufficient and off-grid: her own power, her own water, her own climate, and the systems to live and work aboard her anywhere.

That's a meaningful investment on top of the purchase, and it's exactly why we've thought carefully about where she is today and where we'll take her — so the entry point has to be right for both sides.

What we'll bring to her

The off-grid fit-out.

Beyond the purchase, we'll equip her with the systems to be fully self-sufficient.

Generatorpower independence at anchor
Watermakerfresh water, anywhere
Lithium house bankto run the office loads at anchor
Expanded solarto keep the bank full underway
Air conditioningfor working through the Med summers
New chartplottera modern 12"/16" at the helm
New dinghy + outboarda reliable daily workboat
New refrigerationsalon + cockpit

How we'd do it

Simple, and fair to both sides.

  1. A short, clear timeline. Once we're agreed, we sea-trial within about a week and complete promptly.
  2. A friendly sea trial & engine/saildrive check — just to see her run and confirm she's as lovely as she looks.
  3. A standard pre-purchase survey & haul-out, including the routine Lagoon forward-bulkhead inspection that's normal for the range.
  4. If the survey turns anything up, we'd simply agree together how to handle it — a small adjustment, or a quick fix before completion. Nothing dramatic.
  5. Handed over ready — heads, bowls and bodywork cleaned and ready for us to step aboard.

Let's agree the number — and move forward.

Everything above is why we'll be the right home for her. Here is how we arrive at the figure, openly and step by step.

Two reference points

Where the market sits today.

A comparable Lagoon 400

"Voyager" · 2014

~€200,000
Listed at the same €235,000, but openly negotiable — our read on a realistic number is around €200,000.
And it already carries what ours will still need:
WatermakerNew dinghy & outboardLower engine hoursRecent engine service (07/2025)A better, newer anchor & ground tackleRenewed running riggingFresh canvas / bimini
The fully-loaded end

"Woo Woo" · 2022 Lagoon 42

€400,000
A larger, newer 4-cabin Lagoon 42 carrying more than €150,000 of added equipment — which puts the base boat around €250,000 for a newer hull with newer engines. A strong buy in its own right, and exactly the kind of value-minded purchase we're making here.

Making her timeless

All in: €288.500+ — phased across two seasons.

Three things make her ours: the purchase, bringing her up to spec, and the off-grid systems she's never had. We cap this season's start-up at €250.000 — the purchase plus the priorities — and carry air-conditioning and the comfort refresh into next season. Even at €180.000, that's a €288.500+ commitment to her.

We'd happily talk any of this through. We think Secret of Life deserves exactly this kind of second life — and we'd be proud to give it to her.
